Tokyo Metropolitan University / Tokyo Metropolitan College Faculty and Sraff Union is running an joint ad with the Union of the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, and the Education Department of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Labor Union, which are also the victims of a violent "reform" of the Ishihara government. It will appear in the Feb. 19 issue of International Herald Tribune / Asahi Shimbun, which will be available at kiosks in railway stations. The Headline of the ad will be: Changing Education/Culture from Tokyo? No, It's Destruction!! Please be sure to obtain the issue, look for the ad, and understand the destructive effect of the "reform" on education/culture in Tokyo, and in Japan. Please let them (that is, Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and the members of the Committee on Education and Culture of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly) know what you feel about this "destruction" through websites in the box in the lower righthand corner of the ad.
